New Ideas

Test Shots

After filming some test shots we have decided that our video needs to have more narrative. We will still keep to an amplification narrative, we just felt their needed to be more. You can see from the test shots that their is also not much pace to the video and we think that by adding more shots we will be able to increase this, as it is an upbeat song and we want the video to reflect that.
A video that we have took inspiration from is Broods- Bridges, the video is a full narrative video with no performance and we do still wish to keep the performance side of our video. For the new narrative we wish to create something like this video, we want a couple spending time together enjoying themselves. This will link the lyrics to the video much more as their will be much more of a connection between them.

Broods- Bridges

The video features a lot of close up shots of the couple together, it is shots like this we have taken inspiration from. We slowly want to introduce the love interest in the narrative, starting with extreme close ups to then more mid shots of the two of them together. Also from this video we liked how happy and playful to couple were and is something we would again like to recreate. Due to the lyrics and the singer being so in love we do not wish to add any complications within the narrative. When looking at narrative theory it will go against Todorov's theory as there will not be a disruption, although this could be due to the amplified narrative.

Here you can see a story board of shots that we wish to inject into our original. You can see where the video has been an inspiration to us, we will use mainly close up shots when the couple in on screen. Other shots we wish to use will be more medium/ long shots so you can see the surrounding and the activities that they are doing.
